Today was the Gay Pride parade in Paris. It goes right past the end of our block, so this year, like last year, I popped out to soak up some of the energy for a few minutes. I don’t like crowds, but this one never bothers me.
Paris in all its beautiful, diverse glory.

Quite coincidental, but Antwerp celebrated its gay pride too last weekend.
However, there is something wrong with this shot.
Although I’m sure the classic drag queens, etc celebrated too, these people look as if they’re all in shock, mourning a lost one.
Do check out my blog for a totally different image from Belgium ;-)
Peter! It was a hot and sunny day. I think that explains all the creased brows! The parade was halted for a moment, the music was really loud… I think they were just looking up ahead to see when it was going to start moving again.
I just loved the diversity of this crowd (age, gender, race) so much I couldn’t resist putting up the photo.
Peter, I went to your gay pride post and that picture of the people and the yellow couch is brilliant! You should enter it in a contest.
The first time i go into a gay pride was in San Francisco ( fantastic , great ! )
I bought a rainbow flag in this gay pride and yesterday 19 years later , i use this flag for the gay pride in Nice ( in french riviera ) . But i have also a mask of sarkozy with the gay flag , it was crazy . i had also a poster says ” sarkozy is homophobic because he is against same sex marriage.
Welcome in France , americans frogs :-))
