I spent this week in the tiny medieval village of Biot, about 10 minutes inland from the French Riviera. Somehow I couldn’t muster up a rant or reflection for this blog or any other…
This is pretty much why (click the picture and supersize your browser for the full effect):

From the beach at Antibes, you can see medieval Antibes on the left, Nice on the far shore, and the snow-covered Italian alps behind it.
I could look at this all day. When I retire, I think I will.

Sigh.
I’m jealous. Though it was gorgeous in Paris today.
I think I’ll retire some place like that, too. When I can afford to retire!
Ah Pam. Just Aaaaah. Not dissimilar to the view from my own Pickwick, without, of course, the water, the medieval town, the city, or the permanent snow (although just a few days ago, briefly, there was a little early winter snow on my mountains too).
But no retiring yet my girl, miles to go before you sleep.
David, you cracked us up!! Aaaah is about all you can say to a view like that.
But I want to retire young and finish my novel! Of course, you need money for that. Unless you’re my brother, who just wants to retire in a tent on the north shore of Oahu. That sounds OK too.
Hi Polly. Yes, it’s finally spring in Paris and not a moment too soon if you ask me! I’ll see you around the beach a few years from now, I’m sure.
Oh, man…I am jealous. How exquisitely stunning and blue…so blue…it’s a magical place. I’d love to sit and read on the deck of some small cottage and stare out at the vision beyond and be inspired. :)
That is a sight for sore eyes that have been burned out by the already too hot Austin sun. I am imagining there were cool ocean breezes, sea food and a nice white wine. Lucky, Frog!
