I adore that bumper sticker.

Can you hear the war drums, America? I can hear them all the way in France, but most of you can’t seem to… Must be the acoustics.

Take my word for it, they’re loud.

Do the world a favor and take a minute to join over 26,000 terrified Americans in signing this petition to tell the mad cowboy you don’t want him to take his filthy war to Iran. Then take another 60 seconds and send the link to everyone you know.

When you sign the petition, it’s sent straight to the White House. You’ll get an e-mail response that starts out like this:

On behalf of President Bush, thank you for your correspondence. We appreciate hearing your views and welcome your suggestions. The President is committed to continuing our economic progress, defending our freedom, and upholding our Nation’s deepest values.

My AVG virus scan flagged it [SPAM]. More like [ALPO] I thought.

Now, 26,000 may sound like a lot or a little to you, I don’t know. The fact is, it’s only about .0001% of the US population (if I did my math right, which is certainly not a given). Nothing is going to happen until more people get involved, so start now. If you’re not living on the first or second floor of Maslow’s pyramid you have no excuse.

The petition was created by StopIranWar.com, a joint action by Wesley Clark’s SecuringAmerica.com and VoteVets.org. If you want more information about the march to war with Iran, read Seymour Hersh’s article in The New Yorker. It’ll scare the pants off ya.
